Ranger is one of the classes currently playable in Roboquest.

Primary Ability

Ranger's primary ability is Stealth. Stealth allows the player to enter a state of invisibility that prevents enemies from targeting them. Additionally, it increases the player's movement speed by 15% for 4 seconds, refills all focus points and Javelin charges. It also summons a decoy lasting 5 seconds that draws the fire of enemies in its direction.

If the player attacks while the unmodified ability is active, the Stealth ability ends, but the decoy will stay until it's duration runs out.

You can headbonk once without losing stealth.

The cooldown for Stealth is 15 seconds.

Secondary Ability

Ranger's secondary ability is Javelin. It throws a piercing javelin dealing 75 damage. It has 2 charges, and picking up a javelin restores 1. They are automatically picked up after 6s or when moving further away than 40m.

Passive Ability

Ranger's passive ability is Awareness. Every 1s, generates 1 focus point (max. 16). Increases critical damage by 2% for each focus points. Taking damage consumes all points.

Class-Locked Perks

Each class has their own set of Perks specific to them, as well as their own unique set of Class Upgrades.

The player can choose a Perk (Which is Class-Locked) at Levels 2, 4, 7 and 10 for a total of four Perks. Each class has 16 Perks in total.

All Perks unlock two Upgrades which can be obtained along with Common Upgrades and Class Upgrades at Levels 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. Extra upgrades can be obtained from the secret book item and by interacting with the defeated guardian npc in Doom Gardens or Ruins. An extra upgrade is given at the start of your run if the Starter Boost is unlocked in the workshop.

As shown below, Shadow Strike is a Perk. Relentless Hunter and Void Hunter are Class Upgrades, which need to be unlocked by themselves after Shadow Strike is obtained.

SHADOW STRIKE
The Shadow Strike upgrade icon.
Increases damage by 25% while in Stealth and attacking no longer breaks it but its duration is decreased by 1s.
Relentless Hunter

Taking down an enemy while in Stealth extends its duration by 0.5s.

Void Hunter

Increases Shadow Strike bonus damage by 75%.

BESTIAL FEROCITY

The Bestial Ferocity upgrade icon.
While in Stealth and for 8s after exiting it, increases firerate and Javelin attack speed by 25%, movement speed by 12% and armor by 8%.
Tactical Throw

Hitting an enemy with Javelin reduces Stealth cooldown by 1s.

Bearskin

Increases Bestial Ferocity armor bonus to 16%.

ELEMENTAL SURPRISE
The Elemental Surprise upgrade icon.
Choose an element. Exiting Stealth triggers an explosion dealing damage of that element and increases your damage of that element.

Choices:

  • Pyro Surprise: Exiting Stealth triggers an explosion dealing 32 burn damage and increases burn damage by 30% for 6s.
  • Electro Surprise: Exiting Stealth triggers an explosion dealing 32 shock damage and increases shock damage by 30% for 6s.
  • Cryo Surprise: Exiting Stealth triggers an explosion dealing 32 cryo damage and increases cryo damage by 30% for 6s.
Pyro Surprise Upgrades
  • PYRO CATALYST: Javelin deals burn damage.
  • SURVIVAL INSTINCT: Taking damage reduces Stealth cooldown by 2s.
Electro Surprise Upgrades
  • ELECTRO CATALYST: Javelin deals shock damage.
  • SURVIVAL INSTINCT: Taking damage reduces Stealth cooldown by 2s.
Cryo Surprise Upgrades
  • CRYO CATALYST: Javelin deals cryo damage.
  • SURVIVAL INSTINCT: Taking damage reduces Stealth cooldown by 2s.
NASTY MIRAGE
The Nasty Mirage upgrade icon.
Your decoy shoots enemies dealing 5 damage every 0.2s. Exiting Stealth summons another decoy at your position.
Chromatic Mirage

Choose an element. Your summons deals damage of that element. Choices:

  • Pyro Mirage: Your summons deal burn damage.
  • Electro Mirage: Your summons deal shock damage.
  • Cryo Mirage: Your summons deal cryo damage.
Mocking Mirage

Increases decoy duration by 1.5s and it draws enemies' attention more efficiently.

SHARPENED SPEAR

Increases Javelin auto-critical chance by 20% and its critical damage by 30%.
Feral Patience

Using Stealth or not using Javelin for 3s increases your next Javelin damage by 75%.

Giant's Bane

Increases Javelin damage by 25% against elites, goliaths and bosses.

EXPLOSIVE SPIKE

The Explosive Spike upgrade icon.
Grants 1 additional Javelin charge. Using Stealth triggers an explosion dealing 75 damage around each javelin.
Lucky Powder

Increases explosions auto-critical chance by 15%.

Tactical Blast

Reduces Stealth cooldown by 1s for each enemy hit by Explosive Spike explosion.

WILD RUSH
The Wild Rush upgrade icon.
Hitting an enemy with Javelin increases weapons damage by 35% and movement speed by 12% for 6s.
Lucky Touch

While Wild Rush is active, increases auto-critcal chance by 20%.

Nimble Hand

Hitting an enemy with Javelin reloads your weapon and grants infinite ammo for 1.5s.

POINT BLANK
The Point Blank upgrade icon.
Increases weapons and Javelin damage by 40% against enemies within 7.5m.
Nose-Breaker

Increases Javelin bonus damage by 80% against enemies within 7.5m.

Frontliner

While at least one enemy is within 7.5m, increases armor by 16%.

SONAR SPIKE

Javelin marks and triggers a mark explosion.
Extended Scan

Increases Sonar Spike explosion radius by 35%

Improved Analysis

Increases all damage by 15% against marked enemies.

HUNTER'S MARK
The Hunter's Mark upgrade icon.
Marks enemies hitting your summons. Taking down a marked enemy spreads the mark to another enemy within 7m.
Impale

Increases Javelin damage by 50% against marked enemies.

Tracking Shot

Every 8s, your next weapon shot marks.

SIMPLE GEOMETRY
The Simple Geometry upgrade icon.
Critical damage ricochets on 1 enemy within 9m, dealing 50% damage.
Greeting Shot

Increases your first hit critical damage against an enemy by 30%.

Prime Target

Critical damage against marked enemies triggers 1 additional ricochet.

SUPREME CRITICAL
The Supreme Critical upgrade icon.
Critical damage has 2% chance for eac focus point to deal 80% increased damage.
Hawk-Eye

Increases auto-critical chance by 1% for each focus point.

Lucky Star

Every 1s, your next critical damage grants 6 focus points.

PRESTIGE SECURITY

The Prestige Security upgrade icon.
While Awareness is fully charged, increases armor by 16% and taking damage triggers an explosion dealing 42 damage around you.
Improved System

Increases Prestige Security explosion damage by 20%, radius by 15% and it generates 2 focus points for each enemy hit.

Nerves of Steel

Increase focus generation speed by 35% and taking damage only consumes 10 focus points.

TRUESHOT
The Trueshot upgrade icon.
Using Stealth generates 8 charges (max. 8). Your next weapon shot consumes a charge to deal 150% increased damage.
Hocus-Pocus

Taking down an enemy (or hitting a boss) with Javelin generates 1 charge.

Augment

Stealth generates 4 additional charges.

FAVOURITE WEAPON

The Favourite Weapon upgrade icon.
Increases Javelin damage by 15%, weapons damage by 25% and reload speed by 20%, but reduces your weapon slots by 1.
Swinging Arm

Increases Javelin attack speed by 30%.

Homemade Ammo

Increases weapons damage by 10%.

SHUTDOWN
The Shutdown upgrade icon.
Instantly executes enemies with less than 15% health remaining and bosses with less than 4% health remaining.
Circuit Breaker

Increases Shutdown execution threshold with Javelin to 30% on enemies and to 8% on bosses.

Blue-Screen

Your first hit against a common enemy has 12% chance to instantly execute it.

Class-Locked Neutral Perks

Perks that in essence function the same as Neutral Perks, but are exclusive to specific classes. In this case it's the Ranger.

JAVELIN QUIVER
The Javelin Quiver upgrade icon.
Grants 1 additional Javelin charge.
RANGER SENSES
The Ranger Senses upgrade icon.
Increases maximum focus by 5 points.
AKIMBO KING
The Akimbo King upgrade icon.
Increases dual weapons damage by 15%.

Notes

Player abilities damage scaling per level is 25%.

a * (-0.25 + 0.b * 2.5 + 1) =

a is where you insert a Level 1 damage value on this page.

b is where you insert the level. Turn the 0 to the left of b into a 1 if it's level 10 or higher.

The result is a rough estimate (due to the game rounding hidden decimals) of the damage the skill will do at the specified level.
