Commando is one of the 5 classes currently playable in Roboquest.
Primary Ability
Commando's primary ability is Rocket. Rocket is a projectile type ability - when activated, the player launches an explosive rocket that deals 80 damage, has a 2.5 meter radius and applies heavy impact. This rocket has slight tracking capabilities and will home in on nearby enemies, unless the player takes the Fan of Rockets upgrade, which negates homing.
Rocket has a 10 second cooldown and can fire a single rocket before recharging, which can be increased through upgrades.
Secondary Ability
Commando's secondary ability is Shorty. Shorty fires a shotgun blast that deals 12 damage for 5 instances for a total of 60 damage if 5 or more projectiles hit at close range. The damage of each damage instance fall off with distance. The shotgun fires a total of 21 hitscan projectiles, with a spread that doubles every 3 meters. Shorty has a hidden Wreck affix.
Shorty has a 4 second cooldown.
Passive Ability
Commando's passive ability is Fury. Fury increases firerate, reload speed, Rocket and Shorty attack speed by 1% each and movement speed by 0.5% for every stack.
Fury is generated through takedowns and damage against bosses; every takedown generates 2 Fury stacks and every use of Rocket or Shorty against a boss generates 4 Fury stacks. There is a base maximum cap to Fury stacks of 12, though this can be increased through upgrades. Stacks of Fury automatically fade at a rate of 1 stack per 1.25 seconds.
The amount of fury the player has accumulated is visible on a bar above the Rocket ability.
Class-Locked Perks
As well as Neutral Perks, each class has their own set of Perks specific to them.
The player can choose a Primary Perk (Which is Class-Locked) at Level 2, 4, 6 and 9 for a total of four Primary Perks. Each class has 15 Primary Perks in total.
All Primary Perks unlock two Secondary Perks which can be obtained along with Neutral Perks and Class Locked Perks at Level 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13, and from defeated player character robots, as displayed by question marks on some maps. In Ruins you can loot a wrecked player robot for a free Secondary or Neutral Perk.
As shown below, Fan of Rockets is a Primary Perk. Happy Load and More Rockets! are Secondary Perks, which need to be unlocked by themselves after Fan of Rockets is obtained.

Notes
All of the damage numbers displayed on upgrades on this page are at Level 3, for ease of comparison. Player abilities damage scaling per level is 25%.

At level 3, Shorty deals 90 damage.
The maximum armor and movement speed are capped at 70%
This page is currently up to date to the Winter Update 2023.
To calculate the amount of damage skills on this page do on what level, you can use this formula:
a / 1.5 * (-0.25 + 0.b * 2.5 + 1) =
a is where you insert a Level 3 damage value on this page.
b is where you insert the level. Turn the 0 to the left of b into a 1 if it's level 10 or higher.
The result is a rough estimate (due to the game rounding hidden decimals) of the damage the skill will do at the specified level.
Passive effects are additive.
Active effects (activated by certain conditions) are multiplicative.
As such, stacking damage increasing effects can be very powerful.
